A Little Progress

We've had a lot of rain these past 4 days. Here's a little turtle I found walking across my driveway this morning.

He's an Eastern Box Turtle, a native of South Carolina.

The ducks were quite confused by a walking rock. They originally drew my attention to him because they were quacking indignantily at something.

Progress on the eastern pasture shelter has stalled because of the rain. But our gate arm has finally been installed and now operates electrically. We just push a button to open or close it. Pure luxury!
