Blooms and Berries
I love seeing spring blooms turn into summer fruit. Our raspberry bushes and fruiting nicely this year. There's also a ton of blackberry bushes at work so I am hopeful for a great harvest this year.
I've wanted honeysuckle vine for a long time. I know honeysuckle vine is invasive, but it's also a great cover, and I have 700 feet of fence I would like screened with some kind of vine. So I was really excited to see this little guy.
Honeysuckle is also edible! You can make delicious syrup from the blossoms, and that syrup can be used for wine or jam making. If these little vines do well this year, I might have a wonderful crop of honeysuckle blossoms next year with which to make syrup.
And last but not least, all the rain has brought out these little guests in the eastern pasture (where our cow grazes). Magic mushrooms! I wonder if the cow will get high? Of course, I left them alone!
