Fence Repair
The goats slipped the fence. Again.
One thing about keeping animals is that you must learn to repair fencing, and preferably you would learn to install fencing as well. In this case it was a fairly simple fix - put some patch fence over the hole and use wire to hold it to the old fence. Sometimes it gets more complicated and you have to string new fencing, or even replace a pole, such as if a tree falls on your fence.
Either way, fence repair is a constant requirement of farming. You might go months without any trouble, and suddenly need a variety of repairs. Right now our east pasture needs bottom rail because of the sheep escape, and now the west pasture needs this and a few other patches because of the goat escape. On the other hand, look how thrilled these goats look. They think they are getting away with something!
